JOB TITLE: WEEKEND COOK
REPORTING TO: Kitchen Manager
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Food guidelines to be adhered to at all times
* Ensure the kitchen assistants understand their duties and perform
them at the highest of standards
* Any complaints to be reported to the Kitchen Manager
* To ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the correct
standards, that the quantities are consistent and in keeping with the
agreed costings and all dishes are presented correctly.
* To liaise closely with the Kitchen Manager to ensure that the
highest levels of food care and standards are maintained.
* To liaise closely with the Manager & Kitchen Manager in regards to
special events to ensure that the quantities and the costs of food and
accessories are within the agreed parameters.
* Ensure that all kitchen areas are kept to a high standard of
tidiness and cleanliness at all times and that all statutory
regulations including health and safety, hygiene and licensing
requirements are upheld.
* To work with the Kitchen Manager in the delivery of new menu ideas
and costings
* Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
* Always be polite and helpful to sisters and visitors
HEALTH AND SAFETY
* All staff members must ensure that personal hygiene within the
kitchen is kept to the highest of standards
* All equipment must be used in accordance with manufacturer
guidelines
* Maintain a secure and safe environment for the sisters and other
employees.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
_SKILLS_
* Highly developed hospitality and ?customer? care skills towards
the sisters, staff and vendors.
* Confident and articulate with excellent communication skills at
all levels.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise
tasks and manage own workload as well as delegate and help others to
prioritise and manage workloads.
* Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the success of
the overall organisation.
