THE OPPORTUNITY

Aligned to our growth strategy and further to successful appointments

are looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious EMPLOYMENT LAW
PRACTITIONER to join our consulting practice.

Working as a Consultant within our experienced team, the role of the
EMPLOYMENT LAW PRACTITIONER will focus on supporting our extensive
client base with solutions focused Employee Relations and Employment
Law advice across a range of key sectors. This role also provides for
the opportunity to work on a diverse range of Employee Relations and
Employment Law projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

EMPLOYMENT LAW/ HR ADVICE AND SUPPORT & CLIENT MANAGEMENT

* Carrying out workplace investigations ? Bullying / Harassment
Investigations, Discipline; Grievance
* Delivering key Employee Lifecycle training programmes -
Fundamentals of Employment Law; Conducting Disciplinaries and
Grievances; Termination of Employment.
* Representation at third parties such as the Workplace Relations
Commission and Labour Court.
* Proactively supporting clients through the provision of Employment
Law and HR advice and support from a value-add approach and management
of complex employee relations issues.
* Providing technical expertise and specialist employment law advice
on a broad range of employment issues including terms and conditions
of employment, disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy,
bullying and harassment, sickness absence and performance improvement.
* Effective provision of HR and Employment Law Supports to a
portfolio of clients across a diverse range of sectors.
* Providing advice / guidance on a broad range of Employment Law/ HR
issues.
* Delivery of a variety of Employment Law/ human resources
consulting work for key clients in line with a pre-agreed proposal,
budget and timeframes.
* Meeting clients to support client?s employee / industrial
relations.
* Maintaining documentation and preparing reports as required to
ensure compliance and support the effective conclusion of employee
relations issues.
* Contributing as a team member to support your colleagues across a
range of Employment Law and HR initiatives.
* Keeping clients up to date with employment legislation and
ensuring policies and procedures are updated to reflect not just
compliance but best practice.

INTERNAL

* Work closely with the Consulting Practice Manager, HR and
Employment Law Manager and Business Development team to identify new
HR & Employment law needs of existing and new clients.
* Support individual Consulting team members in relation to client /
project related HR & employment law queries and challenges, in an
outcome focused manner.
* Propose innovative ways to improve the HR and Employment Law
offering for the purposes of the client experience.
* Attend and participate in HR & Employment law events for the
company and with identified key Strategic Partners to the business, to
build and deliver upon our annual plans.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS,
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS TO MEET THE DEMANDS OF THE ROLE:

QUALIFICATIONS

* A primary degree, preferably in HR or similar
* Ideally Post-graduate Diploma in Employment Law / Employment Law
Diploma Law Society and / or MBA
* CIPD qualification

EXPERIENCE

* At least 7 years relevant HR / Employment Law Experience within a
busy HR/ Legal environment or HR/ Legal consulting practice
* Exposure to a broad range of HR initiatives and employee /
industrial relations issues
* Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR practices
