The Daughters of Charity Community Services (DoCCS), located at 9
Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, is a community-based organisation
providing a range of educational, training and social care services
for children, young people and adults living in Dublin?s North Inner
City. Our services are targeted to individuals and families
experiencing socio-economic and educational disadvantage.

We are currently recruiting for the role of Manager of Henrietta
Senior Citizens Service

The Henrietta Senior Citizens Service of the Daughters of Charity
Community Services provides in-house meals, recreational and
educational activities in a day service and outreach activities and
meals on wheels for older people in the Dublin 1/7 north inner city
catchment area.

Reporting to the Director of Services of the Daughters of Charity
Community Services, the Manager will be responsible for managing the
development and delivery of a quality community-based service to
senior citizens. The HSCS Manager is responsible for all aspects of
the management of the service, including line managing a staff of
paid, voluntary and CE personnel.

CONTRACT: Full Time, Permanent
HOURS OF WORK: The successful candidate will work **Apply on the

ANNUAL LEAVE: The annual leave for the position is **Apply on the
website** days, with an additional 2 service days which will be
scheduled in line with service needs.
SALARY SCALE: The salary scale is ?**Apply on the website**,**Apply

website**, based on a **Apply on the website** hour working week. This
will be pro rata for the role. Salary will be set commensurate with
skills and experience

_THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:_

* A minimum of 3 years experience working in services for older
persons,
* A relevant third-level qualification,
* Knowledge of HACCP implementation and monitoring or willingness to
attend training,
* A knowledge of relevant policy and best practice issues pertaining
to older persons and of the key agencies who work on behalf of older
persons,
* Experience in people management,
* Demonstrated drive and commitment to deliver the service in line
with emerging needs and best practice,
* Experience of organising group activities based on needs analysis,
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills,
* A flexible and responsive approach to addressing the support
requirements of older persons registered with the service,
* Excellent administration and budget management skills,
* Good IT and report writing skills,
* Ability to act calmly and professionally in emergencies, to work
under pressure and effectively manage the workload,
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and policy and the
incorporation/ implementation of both within the working environment,
* Ability to source funding for service and meet funder
requirements.
