REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
ASSIGNMENT TITLE: DEVELOPMENT OF AN IMPLEMENTATION GUIDE/MANUAL FOR
HILL STREET FRC’S PREPARATION FOR PRESCHOOL PROGRAMME (PFP)
FUNDED BY: DCEDIY, What Works Fund
DATE: **Apply on the website**th July, **Apply on the website**.
BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT
Hill Street FRC operates as an Intercultural Family Resource Centre,
which seeks to offer children and their families, person-centred
services, that are easily accessible and inclusive of all, to promote
full social participation and enable families to maximise their
health, well-being, and potential in life. Hill Street FRC’s work is
“rooted in community engagement” and encompasses parenting
supports, adult, child and family counselling, parent and child
groups, afterschool clubs, community education and celebrations.
BACKGROUND TO CURRENT PROPOSAL
The PfP programme was designed with the specific needs of migrant
families in mind and can be categorised as a developmental family
support intervention, which seeks to strengthen the social supports
and coping capacities of children and adults, in the context of their
neighbourhood and community. It is also a prevention and early
intervention model, as emerging issues for both the children and their
parents/carers are dealt with in collaboration with the families
through our links with local ECEC settings, public health nurses and
the local early intervention teams.
There are three parts to this project:
* The first will focus on the roll out of the PfP into two other
local settings through a coaching and mentoring programme. Three staff
from each of the settings will be mentored by a member of the Hill
Street staff team and their learning will be evaluated and documented
by the successful tenderer.
* The second part of the project will focus on the development of an
implementation guide/manual that can be used to roll out the
Preparation for Preschool Programme in other settings nationally.
* The third and final part of the project will focus on working with
a graphic designer to design the Guide/Manual.
