? FLEXIBILITY WILL BE REQUIRED FOR OCCASIONAL EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS
DEPENDING ON NEEDS OF SERVICE.

Possibilitiesplus is part of Dara Community Living and offers adults
with an intellectual disability alternatives to traditional
residential/day service arrangements. We support people who have a HSE
approved personal budget to design and co-manage a support
arrangement.

THIS IS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO SET UP, MANAGE AND COORDINATE A
RANGE OF INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICES TO ENABLE PEOPLE TO CREATE AND
MAINTAIN THEIR IDENTIFIED VALUED ROLES AND SUPPORT THEM TO LIVE AN
ORDINARY LIFE. A CENTRAL PART OF THE ROLE IS TO WORK IN PARTNERSHIP
WITH THE PERSON, THEIR FAMILY AND ADVOCATES, COORDINATING, MANAGING
AND MONITORING ALL REQUIRED SUPPORTS AND THE LINE MANAGEMENT OF DIRECT
SUPPORT WORKERS.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

* A recognised third level professional qualification in Social Care
or equivalent
* Proven track record of performance within current role
* Strong natural leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
* Minimum of three years? experience of supporting people with
intellectual disabilities in a community setting to live self-directed
lives.
* Proven track record of promoting, driving and achieving outcomes
with people to develop and maintain Social Valued Roles.
* Ability to maintain and create good respectful relationships with
key stakeholders
* An ability to inspire, lead and manage a team of support workers,
be solution focused and highly motivated
* Excellent written, verbal communication, facilitation and I.T.
skills
* Full clean driving licence

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

* Knowledge/experience in Social Role Valorisation and Supported
Self-Directed Living
* Networks and contacts with the local community
