PART-TIME SUPPORT WORKER ? **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE**HOURS/WEEK
(MONDAY TO FRIDAY) - CELBRIDGE

Possibilitiesplus is part of Dara Community Living and offers adults
with an intellectual disability and individuals with autism
alternatives to traditional residential/day service arrangements. We
support people who have an HSE approved personal budget to design and
co-manage a support arrangement.

We are looking for a Support Worker to work on a one-to-one basis with
a gentle, intelligent and articulate young man who wants to develop
his skills and independence, is eager to learn new things and explore
ways to make his mark as an active and contributing member of his
community.

An important part of this role will be to support him to create and
maintain valued roles that fit with his strengths, personality,
preferences and interests and help him realise his full potential.
This will include helping him to obtain a meaningful part-time job and
exploring with him other opportunities to make personally satisfying
contributions.

YOU SHOULD BE:

* Able to build strong, collaborative relationships with this young
man and his family
* Willing to learn about this young man and how he likes to live his
life
* Motivated, positive, upbeat
* Confident about sharing practical knowledge and teaching new
skills
* Patient, calm, intuitive
* A good community connector and networker
* Creative, good at taking the initiative
* Reliable, adaptable and flexible
* Organized, with sound common sense
* An excellent communicator with good spoken and written English
* Have a full clean driving licence

_Experience with supporting individuals with autism is desirable._
