SENIOR CARE SUPPORT WORKER - CORK

Cheshire Ireland provides quality services to adults with
physical,sensory and neurological disabilities at a medium and high
level of need. We provide individualised supports to promote
wellbeing, independence and quality of life for all people who use our

Cork, Galway, Wicklow, Limerick, Donegal, Kerry, Carlow, Waterford,
Sligo and Mayo.

JOB TITLE: Senior Care Support Worker

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Part Time ? Fixed Term **Apply on the website**
month contract.

NUMBER OF HOURS: **Apply on the website** hours a week with some
on-call.

LOCATION: Based in Cork City with some travel to services in the
county.

THE ROLE

WHAT WE DO?
A Senior Care Support Workers role is to support and facilitate
individuals to live in their own home, to develop and hold valued
social roles and a variety of meaningful relationships within their
communities.

HOW WE WORK.
The Cheshire Community Living Service is based on clear principles of
supporting people ?one person at a time?. As a Cheshire Senior
Care Support Worker you will be committed to the provision of quality
services and to the concept of working in partnership with clients who
live in their own homes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
The successful candidate will have the ability to co-ordinate, plan
and manage the day to day operations of the service.
Effectively lead and support frontline staff.
Support the frontline team to improve and reflect on the service
whilst managing rostering, training and supervision.
Support the frontline team in developing good practice and ensuring
all Health Safety Regulations are adhered to and that we are fully
compliant with national policy.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Driving Licence Essential
* Experience working with vulnerable people.
* Experience of leading a team.
* FETAC Level 5 Qualification in Health Care or equivalent care
related qualification.
* Ability to Network in the Community
* Desire for Personal & Professional Development.
