ABOUT THE ROLE

We&#**Apply on the website**;re currently looking for an RDA
TECHNOLOGIST to join our Kerry team based in LISTOWEL, IRELAND.

CHINESE LANGUAGE SKILLS ARE AN ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The RDA Technologist role involves design, development and scale up of
protein and infant nutrition products from bench top development to
plant commercialisation. A deep technical understanding of nutrition
and process technologies combined with excellent data management and
attention to detail is also key within this role. Day to day tasks
will include sourcing new raw materials, recipe development,
laboratory work, pilot plant trials, customer sampling etc.

The role will also involve customer interaction in conjunction with
our commercial team.

The ideal candidate should have excellent technical, organizational,
numerical, project management and interpersonal skills. Dynamic,
self-driven and capable of working on your own initiative is a key
attribute for this position.

_ABILITY TO_ function as part of a multi-disciplinary team (Sales,
Business Development, long term R&D, Operations, Supply Chain,
Quality, Regulatory and Customers) is also important.

_QUALIFICATIONS_ and skills

* Knowledge of proteins, carbohydrate, fats, vitamins, minerals, and
other nutritional components and how they interact in a spray dried or
dry blended system
* Database management, desk, and pilot plant-based recipe
development.
* Be able to design a nutritional formulation, manufacturing
procedure and finished product specification within the regulatory
limits
* Use of external analysis laboratories and management of data
* Be able to work with suppliers to source new raw materials (e.g.
oil blends, vitamin, and mineral premixes) and maintain a high
standard of documentation on ingredients used
* Be able to carry out shelf life studies on finished products
* Knowledge of high barrier bag packaging and cans
* Carry out pilot plant trials using spray drying and dry blending
technologies as well as other relevant processes
* Knowledge of the regulatory environment for nutritional products
* Preparation of finished product documentation and artwork reviews
* Customer sampling and presentations

_ABILITY TO_ work with both Kerry plants and third-party manufacturing
facilities for commercialisations
