ABOUT US

Poppintree Early Education Centre is a not-for Profit community
childcare service based in the heart of Poppintree Ballymun. We
provide care for up to **Apply on the website** children between the
ages of 6 months and 5 years. We provide fulltime, part time and
sessional care.

We follow the Highscope curriculum and support children by encouraging
their learning through play and supporting their emerging interests.

website**pm and staff are provided with daily non-contact time. We use
the Cor Advantage communications app for assessment and an extension
of parental involvement; all training will be provided to the
successful candidate.

We have a main Early Year?s centre and a Pop Up Preschool in the
local National Primary school.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the position of the Early Years Educator is to
undertake the day to day operational responsibility for the
supervision of the children in Poppintree Early Education Centre. In
addition, the post holder will ensure the delivery of a high quality
service by the staff team ensuring best practice standards are
maintained in the service.

This position reports directly to the Manager.

We currently have one Full time position and one fixed term (1 Year)
maternity leave position available. Start dates as follows:

Full time position: Immediate start, or dependant on notice required.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OVER ALL DUTIES

* To work in partnership with the Manager to ensure the delivery of
good quality childcare and education.
* To ensure the delivery of good quality childcare and education
through the High Scope curriculum within the service. Full training
provided to the successful candidate.
* To work with practitioners to provide a team approach to delivery
of childcare and education of the highest standard
* To act as a positive role model and to provide leadership, support
and motivation to the staff team
* To ensure that the policies and procedures of the service are
followed at all times and updated and revised as appropriate
* To ensure a daily inspection of the room and equipment resulting
in a safe and clean environment
* To take on any other responsibilities requested by the manager

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

* BA Degree in Early Childhood Studies or Level 6 in Early Years and
Supervision.
* Highscope Training and experience is required but not compulsory.
