BACKGROUND: Embrace FARM, the farm accident support network, was
established in **Apply on the website** by Brian and Norma Rohan, of
Shanahoe, Co. Laois, following the loss of Brian?s father, Liam, in
a farm accident in **Apply on the website**. The family felt there was
no suitable support out there for farming families experiencing the
loss and the grief they had endured and from that held the first
annual ecumenical remembrance service June **Apply on the website**
with over **Apply on the website** people in attendance. They received
an overwhelming response to the first service and decided to formally
set up Embrace FARM as a charity to support all those affected by farm
accidents. Having obtained its charitable status in **Apply on the
website**, Embrace FARM supports almost **Apply on the website**
families annually through its remembrance and support services. It
represents families experiencing bereavement and loss due to fatal
farm accidents and supports survivors of farm accidents that have
endured serious injuries as a result with life altering changes to the
way they live. Services include support groups with both online and
face to face meetings, residential counselling weekends, information
days and farm safety awareness to the wider agricultural sector. The
Covid-**Apply on the website** Pandemic has allowed the charity to
deliver its remembrance service through livestreaming technologies and
broadcast on RTE 1 to audiences of over **Apply on the website**
people. It has developed its online presence through its website and
social media platforms to raise awareness of the seriousness farm
accidents have on farm families and their health and wellbeing
following a traumatic event.
A greater need has arisen to expand the reach of what Embrace FARM
currently supports. Through the guidance of its volunteer board of
directors, the charity produced a new strategic plan in **Apply on the
website** with the commitment to obtain the funding and structure to
grow and formalise the services it can offer farm families.

THE PROGRAMME: Following the successful application to the Department
of Agriculture, Food and Marine (DAFM) call for proposals to their
European Innovations Partnerships (EIP) Farm Safety, Health and
Wellbeing initiative, Embrace FARM in conjunction with the operational
