INTERIM NATIONAL LEAD FOR PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORTS

(SIX-MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT)

Family Carers Ireland (FCI) is _the _national charity supporting over

the country who dedicate their lives to caring for loved ones such as
children or adults with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail
older people, those with palliative care needs or those living with
chronic illnesses or addiction. We provide a range of services and
supports for family carers through its **Apply on the website**
resource centres nationwide.

The _INTERIM NATIONAL LEAD FOR PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORTS_ acts as the
service manager for Family Carers Ireland?s (FCI) National
Counselling Service. This involves coordinating the delivery of the
service to a high standard, adhering to all relevant policies and
procedures, managing a team of staff and volunteer counsellors,
producing metrics and reports as required and evaluating the quality
and effectiveness of the service. The Interim National Lead for
Psychosocial Supports is also responsible for leading and supporting
the development of other resources that support and enhance family
carers mental health and wellbeing. This role will report to the
_ACTING HEAD OF CARER SUPPORTS_ for a period of six (6) months.

ROLE CRITERIA: The successful candidate should possess the following
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

* Qualified Counsellor or Psychotherapist accredited with the Irish
Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and/or the Irish
Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP).
* Masters qualification is desirable.
* Experience supervising or co-ordinating a counselling service is
desirable.
* Experience in programme development and project management.
* Experience managing the performance of teams remotely.
* Strong ICT, project management and people management skills.
* Experience in leading national projects.
* Past or current experience in a caring role would prove
beneficial.
* A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish
rapport with a diverse range of people.
* The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a
team.
* Fluency in English (written and verbal).
* Full drivers? licence, with access to car.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: FULL-TIME ROLE (**Apply on the website** hours per
week ? Monday to Friday) for a period of SIX (6) MONTHS. The role
will initially be based from home as per Covid-**Apply on the
website** guidelines. Once it is allowable, the successful candidate
may be based at one of Family Carers Ireland locations close to their
