EMPLOYMENT: Following an initial 2-year contract, successful candidate
will move onto a contract of indefinite duration.

THE ORGANISATION

Peter McVerry Trust is committed to reducing homelessness and the harm
caused by drug misuse and social disadvantage through the principle of
a Housing First model. PMVT provides low threshold entry services,
primarily to younger persons with complex needs, which offer pathways
out of homelessness within a framework of equal opportunities, dignity
and respect. The organisation is the largest provider of homeless

HOW CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

The Finance Manager will report to the Head of Finance and will be
responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting function for
Peter McVerry Trust and managing a team of seven people.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

* Preparing and reviewing monthly financial reports for/with the Head
of Finance
* Managing all aspects of accounting functions and processes of the
Trust
* Managing the finance of Capital projects including RCT and VAT
* Preparation of annual budgets
* Preparation of annual accounts using SORP accounting for charities
* Ensuring adherence to the organisation?s internal financial
controls
* Assisting the Head of Finance with financial returns of income and
expenditure for cost centres and funding agencies as required, as well
as organisation?s management accounts
* Assisting with the annual financial audit of the organisation

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL IDEALLY POSSESS THE FOLLOWING
EXPERIENCE:

* Leadership, management and team building in a collaborative
environment
* Experience in managing a finance team
* Ability to build, manage and develop key stakeholder relationships
* Experience in presenting to management
* Strong budgeting, reporting, analytical and IT skills
* Excellent planning and organisational skills
* A qualification in accounting is preferred
