BOOK KEEPER / ADMINISTRATOR ROLE

Down Syndrome Ireland is a registered charity with a National Office
based in Ballymount, Dublin **Apply on the website** and a network of

has a vacancy for a part-time bookkeeper/administrator. This is a
superb opportunity to work in lively/progressive environment.

This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to
gain experience in the charitable sector to join the Down Syndrome
Ireland team.

You?ll become part of a collaborative team and have the chance to
work across their Finance Function, making for a varied and engaging
role where no two days are the same.

Working as part of a small, busy team, you?ll take ownership of all
aspects of the role from accounts payable to bank reconciliations and
liaising with our Branches. You will report directly to the CFO.

IN SUMMARY THE BOOKKEEPER/ADMINISTRATOR ROLE WILL INCLUDE THE
FOLLOWING:

* Undertake book keeping duties to include purchase/sales invoice
management
* Ensure all invoices are posted correctly to the XERO accounting
system
* Process creditor payments and undertake credit control duties
* Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
* Assist with the month-end process
* Assist with statutory annual audit
* Provide support to the CFO where required
* Liaise with Down Syndrome Ireland Branches regarding financial
queries/requests

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

* 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* The ability to work to tight deadlines
* A focused approach to work with strong attention to detail
* To be organised and methodical
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and
written
* Good numeracy skills
* Fluency in spoken and written English
* Excellent IT skills including Excel, Outlook and strong experience
in XERO accounting software (essential)

This is a part-time role, 2 days per week, working from 9am to 5pm.
The role is based in the National Office in Ballymount, Dublin **Apply
