Behaviour Detectives: Outreach Behaviour Support Therapist (Part-Time)


Behaviour Detectives are looking to expand their team due to the
on-going expansion of our service. We are currently looking for an
Outreach Behaviour Support Therapist to support a teenager with
Autism. An energetic and experienced professional is required to
support in leisure, health and vocational/community programmes. A
well-established Behaviour Analytic program is in place. However,
candidates should be familiar with implementing and supporting skills
development, managing behaviours of concern and social inclusion
programmes to access local communities for individuals with Autism to
develop to their full potential.

OUTREACH BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT THERAPIST

JOB LOCATION: Enfield
CONTRACT TYPE: Part-time Contract
HOURS: Hours are based on a timetable and may be allocated in the
afternoons and weekends. The successful candidate will be expected to
work 3 days (**Apply on the website**.5 hours) per week across the
week. This role will require flexibility in the days worked to
facilitate the needs of the persons being supported.
SALARY: We offer a competitive salary depending on the experience.

WHAT WE OFFER:

* Supportive and encouraging work environment for
developing/enhancing Behaviour Analytic skills.
* Collaborative involvement in intervention strategies planning,
opportunity to identify and develop specific goals (based on
assessment curriculums such as AFLS), and implementing Behaviour
Support strategies that are already in place.
* Direct contact and supervision from BCBA.
* Registered Behaviour Training (RBT) provided and funded by the
company.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Hold a degree in Psychology/ Social Care/ Nursing or related area.

DESIRABLE:

Hold a Post-Graduate Qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis or
related area/ or be in pursuit of same/ or relevant experience and
knowledge of ABA principles.

ALL CANDIDATES SHOULD:

* Experience in utilising the principles of Behaviour Analysis and
Positive Behaviour Support.
* Ideally, have two years of experience supporting individuals with
Autism (desirably beyond the age of twelve).
* Experience in understanding and managing behaviours of concern.
* Experience working in the family home environment and community
settings.
* Confidently be able to lone work, and to work remotely.
* The ability to collect, graph and analyse data.
* Be flexible, enthusiastic and committed.
* Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* In-depth understanding of ethical and professional practices.
* Demonstrate initiative and have experience in programme
implementation and development.
* Full B Licence required, willingness to undertake travel and work
flexibly due to the geographic spread of services.
