WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS

CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER

WE WOULD LIKE TO INVITE APPLICATIONS FOR THE ROLE OF CLINICAL NURSE
MANAGER. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS CLINICAL
NURSE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IN ELDERLY CARE. THIS IS A FULL-TIME
POSITION.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

* Support and develop clinical practice through a hands-on approach
with Staff Nurses and Health Care Assistants in the delivery of care
in a busy **Apply on the website** bed unit.
* Review recent admissions ensuring appropriate assessment, planning
implementation and evaluation of care is documented on the epicCare
system.
* Supervise/administer medication administration and compliance.
* Liaise with GPs and pharmacy with regards to medication reviews
and audits.
* The Nurse Manager will be responsible for the operational,
strategic, clinical, developmental, administrative duties.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

* Previous Clinical Nurse Management experience essential
* BSc in General Nursing or equivalent
* Dementia experience is desirable
* Registered on the NMBI live register
* Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills
* Ability to work well with a team, motivating others and promoting
a team environment and working on own initiative
* A working knowledge of the HIQA themes and standards ensuring
high-quality, person-centred care is provided to all residents

CARE ASSISTANT VACANCIES

WE CURRENTLY HAVE VACANCIES FOR BOTH FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME CARE
ASSISTANT ROLES. THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE COMPLETED, OR BE
UNDERTAKING, THE HEALTHCARE SUPPORT QQI LEVEL 5 TRAINING AND HAVE
EXPERIENCE OF WORKING IN A RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

* To provide a high standard of assistance to residents in their
daily activities in accordance with statutory requirements,
professional codes of conduct and policies and procedures of
Carrigoran House.
* Assist nurse with duties i.e admissions, room orientation, general
admission procedures e.g vital signs, weight, height, etc.
* Assist residents with daily activities including personal hygiene,
grooming, bathing and dietary requirements.
* Protecting residents with preventable injury by assisting them in
maintaining body alignment.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment.
* Maintain a high level of communication with residents and nurse
regarding the individual needs of the resident, their care plan and
their overall requirements within Carrigoran.
* Ensuring that residents who are unable to care for themselves are
provided care and services in a timely manner.
* Assist the nurse in providing basic nursing care activities as
directed.
* Maintaining strict confidentiality in relation to information of
the resident and Carrigoran House.
* Maintain accurate records and reports regarding the care of the
resident as required.
* Reporting any accidents/incidents occurring with the resident.
* Attending training and development programmes as required.
* Observing Health and Safety procedures regarding the general
health and safety of the resident.
* Attending staff meetings as required.
* To undertake any other duties as directed by the staff nurse.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

* HCA?s must be flexible and have the ability to work as a member
of a team.
* Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
* Good planning and organizational skills
* Basic hygiene and infection control knowledge
* Must be willing to work both days/nights and evening shifts,
weekends and bank holidays.
* Have an understanding of the mission, vision and values of
Carrigoran House.
* Ability to ensure a safe working environment
