BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The **Apply on the website**+ Group is a coalition programme of the
Marie Keating Foundation, the Irish Cancer Society and the Irish
Patient Association.

The purpose of the **Apply on the website**+ Patient Support Group
(**Apply on the website**+) is to meet the needs of those patients
directly affected by the CervicalCheck crisis and their next of kin by
providing information, advice and support in a structured and
confidential manner. **Apply on the website**+ acts as an inclusive
voice for all affected by the crisis but will also aim to give voice
to other women diagnosed with cervical cancer in the future as well as
to those previously diagnosed but not directly affected by screening
issues.

THE ROLE:

The **Apply on the website**+ PSG is now a motivated and committed
team player who will play an important role in the development and
management of all communications activities carried out by **Apply on
the website**+.

The successful candidate will be confident and comfortable working in
a fast-paced, highly flexible environment. The Communications
Co-ordinator will report to and work closely with the **Apply on the
website**+ Manager to develop and implement **Apply on the
website**+?s internal and external communications strategy, and to
implement the communications aspects of **Apply on the website**+?s
overarching strategy.

This is a newly created role within the organisation and it is a
unique opportunity for a skilled communications professional to play a
central role in the full scope of the organisation and impact greatly
on the women and families impacted by CervicalCheck failures, and on
the future health system for Irish women.

listening skills, good boundaries, and previous experience in
