RECRUITMENT OF CEO

TTN is recruiting a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Reporting to a
voluntary board of directors, the CEO is the senior executive with
overall responsibility to ensure the effective, efficient delivery and
development of TTN?s services, in keeping with its values,
objectives and funding requirements.

OVERALL SCOPE OF THE ROLE

* In consultation with the Board of Directors and funders, develops
and implements an annual operating plan and KPI?s aligned to the
organisation?s vision, mission and values.
* Maintenance and ongoing monitoring of TTN?s compliance and
internal controls to adhere to the ETB Training quality standards, the
HSE KPI?s, the Charities Regulator Governance code, the CRO annual
return process and TTN?s internal Risk Register.
* Builds and maintains connections with key stakeholders regarding
TTN services and the development of its programmes.
* Models mental health recovery in leadership and management of team
of staff, contract trainers, CE workers and volunteers.
* Identifies emerging needs in terms of service provision, while
ensuring quality standards are maintained in current service delivery.
* Promotes TTN across the geographical community mental health area,
CHO7 and social platforms to ensure public awareness of its services
and support for mental health recovery

IDEALLY THE PERSON WILL;

* Have 5 years? experience in a relevant sector which includes 3
years in a management and leadership role
* Have a degree in a relevant discipline
* Have an understanding of the further education and training sector
and the regulatory environment that TTN operates within.
* Have knowledge and / or experience of working in mental health
recovery

CHIEF EXECUTIVE COMPETENCIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DIRECTING AND DELEGATING

* Overall responsibility for the management and ongoing development
of TTN?s programmes and services to the agreed standards and
requirements of its funders, under the direction of its Board of
Directors.
* Ensure that all staff are supervised, managed and developed
embracing the organisations ethos and values, and that all duties and
responsibilities are delegated and supported in a manner that will
help them succeed in their work
* To ensure that TTN?s services and activities are delivered in
the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
* Lead out on grant applications and project management support for
programme development initiatives
* Ensure that TTN?s services are reviewed and updated where
appropriate within the approved plans to meet the needs of clients

LEADERSHIP, COMMUNICATIONS AND INFLUENCING

* Model TTN?s values and corporate policies so that TTN continues
to provide a safe space for adults with lived experience of mental
health difficulties to stretch and grow in their personal recovery.
* Liaise and network effectively with key stakeholders and external
referral sources and agencies to ensure TTN?s services continue to
meet the needs of people with lived experience of mental health
difficulties
* Continue to develop TTN?s communication strategy across
channels, so that key stakeholders are aware of the services offered
and how they can be accessed

PLANNING AND ACHIEVING RESULTS

* Ensure that the delivery of the education service is in accordance
with the agreed DDLETB Quality Assurance Management System and the
requirements of certifying bodies.
* Assist and support the board in the development of Threshold?s
strategic and annual operational plans.
* Plan, manage, monitor, and report on all the Further Education and
Training activities and services in the respective catchment area of
DDLETB, in line with the approved Further Education and Training
strategy and plans.

NETWORKING, INNOVATION AND FACILITATING

* To promote and enhance TTN?s profile within the local area
network so that it will be viewed as synonymous with quality service
provision for personal mental health recovery, discovering
possibilities and nurturing choice.
* As required present views of TTN to external audiences and
represent the organisation within external networks
* Facilitate workshops and classes if cover needed at short notice
* Apply for additional small grants on offer in the sector that will
add to current programmes, services and draw audiences to TTN.

GOVERNANCE AND MANAGING RISK

* Develop and obtain Board approval for annual operational plans and
budgets. Ensure the timely submission of annual business plans and
regular reporting to funders
* Control and manage annual expenditure within the approved budget
parameters
* Provide the Board with quarterly written reports, financial
updates and update organisation risk register to support them in their
governance role
* Oversee Threshold services, to ensure compliance with legislation
governing the workplace and its services, reviewing TTN?s corporate
governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with ongoing
legislation change and best practice
* To carry out such tasks as may be assigned from time to time by
the board

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

* A PRSA is available with a company contribution of 5% that can be
availed of after a probation period of 6 months.
