ASSISTANTS?in?our?NORTH DUBLIN COMMUNITY.

The contracts avaialble are:

* PERMANENT, FULL-TIME, **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS
* SPECIFIED PURPOSE, FULL-TIME, **APPLY ON THE WEBSITE** HOURS

Acquired Brian Injury Ireland provides community-based rehabilitation
services for people living with a brain injury in Ireland. Our mission
is to serve, advocate, empower and support people impacted by brain
injury to rebuild their lives.

The role of the?COMMUNITY REHABILITATION ASSISTANT?is to support and
assist people with an acquired brain injury on every aspect of
activities of daily living to live valued lives of optimal
independence and participation in activities within the community. Our
Community Rehabilitation Assistants are highly trained specialists and
a crucial part of our team. With a person-centred approach, a
Community Rehabilitation Assistant assists each individual to plan and
direct their lives, meet the needs identified in their individual
rehabilitation plan and support outcomes that are meaningful to the
person in conjunction with their overall needs, integrating more fully
into the community and achieving their potential.

The Acquired Brian Injury (ABI) Ireland Rehabilitation Assistant role
is a very good opportunity for psychology graduates to get a valuable
experience working closely with service users, with various needs and
abilities, in a real world clinical setting. In the community setting,
graduates will work on a 1:1 basis with service users in their own
home or in other relevant community settings - working from an agreed
set of rehabilitation goals. Psychology graduates will sit in on and
significantly contribute to quarterly reviews, with the local ABI
Ireland MDT, for all the clients they work with. The MDT may be
comprised of a Senior or Principal Clinical Psychologist, a Senior
Social Worker, a Senior Occupational Therapist, and on Assistant
Psychologist.

ESSENTIAL:

* A relevant third level qualification
* Full driving licence with access to a vehicle
* A person-centred appraoch to supporting people with an acquired
brain injury
* Excellent inter-personal and communication skills. Must be able to
write and speak English to a high standard
* Good IT skills

DESIRABLE:

* Previous experience supporting people in the community
* Previous experience of working in an area of disability
