TITLE: RELIEF SUPPORT WORKER (IN-REACH SERVICE)

PROGRAMME: Crosscare In-Reach Service

THE EMPLOYER: Crosscare is the social care agency of the Dublin
Diocese and is a registered charity.
Crosscare delivers services with a servant leadership ethos.

The Crosscare In-Reach service is based in a pre-reception centre for
asylum seekers and refugees. The service works to support refugees and
asylum seekers living in Ireland. The service supports both
individuals and families.

WORK SCHEDULE: 7 day rota (including evening & weekends ? Days )
Duties cover leave requirements in the Crosscare In-Reach Service

CONTRACTS:1 year relief contract

LOCATION: Crosscare?s In-reach service, Clonshaugh, Co. Dublin is
based in the Holiday Inn hotel, Stockhole Lane, and is accessible by a
shuttle bus from the airport.

ROLE & SERVICE PURPOSE:

To provide a critical In-Reach service to Asylum seekers and Ukrainian
refugees staying in the hotel. We are committed to delivering the
highest standard of care possible and working closely with other
colleagues in Tusla, safetynet, IPO, IPAS and the department of social
protection to ensure that each individual receives adequate medical
care, support with the asylum process and to support Ukrainian
refugees with their status.

Our service is a challenging environment as we seek to achieve an
inclusive approach working with people with complex issues.

REPORTS TO: Project Leader

THE ROLE

* Welcoming families and individuals to the pre-reception centre
* Provide support to Social Care Workers in all duties to facilitate
the smooth operation of a busy project
* Support colleagues in carrying out duties connected with the
operation of the in-reach service, resolving conflict, responding to
health issues, and engaging with families.
* To work effectively as part of a team and being open to reasonable
requests from Project Leader/Team leader in order to ensure effective
working relationships.
* To work in line with Crosscare?s policies and code of conduct,
and the standard operational procedures of the service.
* To ensure all records are maintained accurately

HEALTH & SAFETY

* To observe all Health and Safety policies of the project.

SUPERVISION/TRAINING

* Participate in regular supervision
* Identify and attend relevant training

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum Level 5 Qualification awarded by the National
Qualifications Framework (NQF) QQI in a Social Care area, Addiction,
Youth Work and/or Healthcare
* IT Literate and good literacy and numeracy skills
* Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
* Clearly demonstrated client focus
* Ability to work under pressure
* An ability to carry out minor maintenance repairs
* An understanding of Child Protection

DESIRABLE

* Experience of working with asylum seekers and refugees
