Youth Work Ireland Cork (YWIC) is a professional youth organisation
committed to delivering high quality services in partnership with
young people through a series of innovative and young person led
programmes. YWIC is an affiliated member of Youth Work Ireland
National Office who are one of the largest youth services across the
country.

A VACANCY HAS ARISEN FOR A YOUTH ARTS COORDINATOR UNDER THE NEW UBU
YOUR PLACE YOUR SPACE SCHEME.

CORK CREATES ARTS COORDINATOR (PART-TIME POSITION)

To coordinate a city wide youth arts programme. Linking in with other
UBU (TYFS) youth projects in RAPID areas to establish and develop
models of good practice of embedding Art as a youth work methodology
in youth services.
Cork Creates coordinator will be required to support inclusion and
cultural belonging for children and young people across the city
ensuring that Creative Ireland progamme activities are accessible and
inclusive of young people who may not have the same advantages as
others.
To work with targeted young people drawing on the creative resources
of the Arts in assisting young people to explore and define their own
values, experiences and cultural interests.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Youth and Community
Work (JNC/NSETS) and/or an equivalent. Have at least three years?
experience working full-time/part-time/voluntary with young people in
a youth work or youth arts project setting.

YOUTH WORKER (PART-TIME POSITION)

The role will involve working with young people aged between**Apply on

any youth services. Outreach work will be required in order to
identify, establish links, recruit and engage with targeted young
people. He/She will be working as part of youth work team delivering a
comprehensive youth work service in the Gurrranabraher/Churchfield
community in the north side of Cork city.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Youth and Community
Work (JNC/NSETS) and/or an equivalent. Have at least three years?
experience working full-time/part-time/voluntary with young people in
a youth work setting.
