ASSISTANT CEO

SUMMARY: This is a fixed term contract subject to funding, part time,
**Apply on the website** hour per week position. Responsible for
governance, and strategic development of the organisation.

MAIN DUTIES:

* To coordinate the day to day running of the organisation as
required_._
* Coordinate the ongoing development & implementation of
organisational and governance policies and procedures
* Lead on developing a funding & sustainability strategy
* Develop annual & other budgets as required
* Coordinate preparation and delivery of funding proposals, SLA’s
and reports as required
* Maintain and develop strong working relationships with key funders
& organisations
* Lead on the development & implementation of a new strategic plan
* Ensure WCT is fully compliant with its regulatory & legal
responsibilities
* Provide supports and maintain reporting systems to the Management
Committee and ensure ongoing recruitment and upskilling of MC members
* Participate on external fora and committees as required and liaise
with appropriate statutory and non-statutory agencies on a local,
regional and national basis
* Work closely with Co-CEO in implementing governance,
organisational & strategy priorities
* Any other duties as commensurate with the post

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

CORE SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: To be considered for this role you will
need to demonstrate the following;

* A suitable qualification to degree level and/or training in
organisational management, community development, or equality work.
* Excellent organisational skills
* At least 3 years’ experience in a leadership or management role
* Demonstrable success with funding raising and management of
budgets
* Strong IT skills including excel and SAGE
* Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
* Demonstrable experience working in the area of equality,
anti-racism, human rights, community development
* An understanding of Traveller rights and strategic policy issues
of concern to Traveller organisations
* Experience meeting & reporting on organisational targets and
strategy goals
* Full clean drivers licence
