BLANCHADSTOWN TARGETED YOUTH FUNDING SCHEME (TYFS)

Foróige, the National Youth Development Organisation, which promotes
and fosters youth development through the operation of various youth
services in urban and rural areas throughout the country, funded by
the ETB.

YOUTH OFFICER

* Working with the Blanchardstown community and other professionals
to identify the young people to be targeted for the Project.
* In conjunction with the Foróige Manager, and DDLETB being
responsible for the design, organisation/co-ordination and
implementation of educational and support programmes with the target
group of young people, particularly those who are most at risk in the
area.
* Engaging in regular outreach work within the community to target
young people most at risk.
* Reporting to the Foróige Manager, attending meetings and
preparing written reports as required for DDLETB & DCYA.
* Any such other relevant duties as the board of Foróige and/or the
Chief Executive Officer or the nominee of the Chief Executive Officer
shall deem necessary for the effective implementation and the policy
and programmes of Foróige and the Blanchardstown Targeted Youth
Funding Scheme (RYFS)

The successful applicant must have the following ESSENTIAL
requirements;

* Education to National Degree standard. (Note: candidates with
exceptional, relevant work experience may also be considered in lieu
of degree qualifications)
* A minimum of 1 year relevant work experience with young people
* Access to car and full driving licence
* High level of motivation / ability to work on own initiative
* Ability to work as part of a team of staff and volunteers
