Limerick City Gallery of Art is one of the leading contemporary art galleries in Ireland and home to an important collection of Irish 18th to 21st century art in all media, amounting to 831 works. One quarter of the collection is on permanent display in the gallery including works by Camille Souter, Evie Hone, William Orpen, Sean Keating and Paul Henry. LCGA also holds the National Collection of Contemporary Drawing and the Michael O?Connor International Poster Collection consisting of over 2800 works of international design.
Director/Curator
A typical list of duties for that position will be as follows:

Manage and deliver the Phase II Development of LCGA
Collections Management
Managing staff
Complete the Arts Council, Heritage Council and other relevant funding applications
Preparation of reports
Budgeting and financial management
Continue the sustained growth of LCGA audience development
Representing LCGA at a national and international level
Building and developing partnerships with other institutions and stakeholders
Increasing the profile of LCGA at local and national level
Artistic programming and overseeing the programming of Contemporary Art Exhibition and events, to ensure that LCGA?s programmes are innovative, locally relevant and internationally significant
Undertaking preliminary work on developing an overall marketing strategy for the successful launch of the renovated and refurbished Carnegie Building
Overseeing the marketing activities on all programmes
Managing external communications, website content and LCGA?s online presence
Monitor on-going progress towards LCGA?s attainment of Full Accreditation under the Heritage Council?s Museums Standards Programme for Ireland
