JOB DESCRIPTION

Quality Manager Medical Laboratory North Dublin Hospital

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Medical Scientist who
holds MSc or Fellowship in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent.

This is an exiting and rare opportunity for an experienced quality
manager to join one of Irelands leading private hospital groups.

Working closely with the laboratory manager and laboratory clinical
director, the post-holder will be part of the senior leadership team
and will be encouraged in their personal and professional development.

The successful candidate will lead and develop the laboratory quality
function and have the opportunity to work with the Hospital quality
team on many cutting edge initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities:

Implement, maintain, deliver and develop a quality management system
compliant with the ISO**Apply on the website** and ISO**Apply on the
website** standards, JCI and all other relevant quality systems.

Work proactively to foster and embed a culture of continual quality
improvement across the department.

Engage all laboratory staff and stakeholders in the quality management
system.

Work collaboratively with the haemovigilance officer, head of
department in blood transfusion and consultant haematologists to
ensure that the requirements of Articles **Apply on the website** and

on the website**/EC are met.

Lead the education and training of laboratory staff in the principles
and practices of the quality management system.

Be the departments key point of contact for the Irish National
Accreditation Board (INAB) and the Health Products Regulatory
Authority (HPRA).

Ensure that processes needed for the quality management system are
established, implemented and maintained and have buy-in from and
involvement of the laboratory team.

Ensure implementation of the quality policy using evidence-based
indicators; agree and implement improvement actions and objectives as
needed.

Qualifications and experience

A recognised qualification as a Medical Scientist to MSc or Fellowship
in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent

At least 7 years post graduate experience working in an accredited
laboratory, at least two years of which were at a supervisory level.

Experience of ISO**Apply on the website** accreditation for
laboratories

Experience of ISO**Apply on the website** for POCT

Excellent understanding of transfusion regulation requirements

Excellent understanding of the requirements of a quality management
system
