Heroes Aid was initially born out of a desperate need for PPE
equipment at the height of this pandemic and has now evolved due to
the overwhelming support of the public to deliver much needed ongoing
support to the frontline healthcare workers who work tirelessly for
others. Our aim is to recognise, celebrate and elevate the value of
all of these heroes.

This is where you come in. We are now in a position to hire an Interim
General Manager to make this come alive. Working with the support of
the board and reporting to the CEO your task will be to set up the
corporate structure, generate a flow of funding and have overall
responsibility for the day to day running of the charity.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Driving the implementation of the corporate fundraising strategy,
representing the organisation in written and in person corporate
pitches, developing sponsor relationships and securing funding
* Driving the implementation of the community fundraising strategy,
grants and trust applications
* Set up the operational processes and procedures to ensure
Heroes-Aid is compliant, working efficiently, effectively and
transparently.
* Responsibility for developing and implementing robust financial
management processes.
* Lead and coordinate employees, volunteers and manage all third
party relationships.
* Implement the strategic plan, while providing suggestions for
increased growth and revenue.
* Build awareness nationwide of Heroes-Aid, driving consistent
messaging.
* Attend meetings, training and all Heroes-Aid public events.

As the first employee of the organisation this position presents a
unique opportunity to make an impact and see a real difference as a
result of your actions. Therefore it is essential you are a
self-starter who can drive an agenda, with support from the board, and
achieve agreed goals and milestones.

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:

* A relevant third level qualification or substantial relevant
experience in the charity sector in a similar role.
* Prior experience of corporate fundraising in addition to
experience of other fundraising streams
* Strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record of the day to
day running of a business.
* Ability to deliver a robust administrative system with support
from the Board.
* Experience of delivering against optimistic targets

Ideally:

* Relevant fundraising experience in the charity sector
* Previous staff line management experience.
* Excellent presentation and interpersonal / influencing skills
* Collaborative, relationship building approach to working with
internal and external stakeholders
