JOB SPECIFICATION AND DESCRIPTION

KEY DUTIES

The key duties of the PPN Support Worker are to support the PPN
Resource Worker with regard to developing the PPN?as an effective
structure to promote public engagement and participation via the
environmental, social inclusion and community and voluntary sectors in
accordance with relevant Department of Rural and Community Development
Circulars and PPN User Handbook.

THE SUPPORT WORKER WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

* Organise, attend meetings, provide reports and any other reasonable
tasks as directed
* Network and engage with the Local Authority and other statutory
and relevant bodies to develop?the PPN as the reference point for the
environmental, community and voluntary and social inclusion sectors in
the county and to further the aims of PPN
* Maintain the Salesforce database as an active and accurate
register of member groups
* Implement a communications strategy to include
Input into research, production and distribution of a regular
newsletter for members
Managing the PPN website ensuring it is up to date
Promoting the?PPN?and its work to member groups and the wider
community
Devising materials to be used for PPN responses to requests including
online consultations, public meetings, workshops and surveys
Operating social media accounts
* Operate the day to day workings of the PPN, including
administration, financial accounts and expenses payments
* Ensure that budget projections for the PPN are being met and
maintain financial and reporting records
* Any other work which may be assigned by the Resource Worker on the
day to day operation of the PPN, including administration and
financial reporting

REQUIREMENTS

* Knowledge and understanding of the Public Participation Network
* Experience of working with community and voluntary organisations
* Experience of account management for civil society organisations
* Management of budgets and projections of income and expenditure
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work on evenings and/or weekends if necessary
* Ability to work as part of a team

PARTICULARS OF THE POST

It is a temporary fixed term 2 month part time contract, eg for

subject to funding. Working 3.5 days per week, at **Apply on the
website** hours per week in PPN Offices, Cana House, Cavan Town.
