Evaluation of the Programme.
_THE EVALUATION WILL BE PROCESS FOCUSED AND CONCENTRATE ON THE IMPACT
OF SCP DUN DEALGAN ON PARTICIPATING STUDENTS AND SCHOOLS WITH A
PARTICULAR FOCUS ON THE PROCESS AND WHAT WORKS INVOLVING STUDENTS,
PARENTS, SCHOOL PERSONNEL, PROJECT STAFF, VOLUNTARY AND STATUTORY
AGENCIES._
The Programme operates in four schools in the town of Dundalk, three
at Primary level and one at secondary level. All participating schools
are part of the DEIS Programme, (Delivering Equality of Opportunity in
Schools Programme) offered through the Department of Education and
Skills.
SCP is a targeted programme of support for primary and post primary
children and young people who have been identified as potentially
?at risk? of early school leaving or who are out of school and
have not successfully transferred to an alternative learning site or
employment.
SCP aims to retain a young person to completion of the Leaving
Certificate, equivalent qualification or suitable level of educational
attainment which enables them to transition into further education,
training or employment.
SCP DUN DEALGAN ARE NOW INVITING TENDERS TO CARRY OUT THE EVALUATION.
