HOUSING DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

The Irish Council for Social Housing (ICSH) is the national
representative federation for non-profit housing associations. The
ICSH represent approximately **Apply on the website** member
organisations as part of a growing sector that collectively manages up
to **Apply on the website**,**Apply on the website** homes,
accommodating **Apply on the website**,**Apply on the website** people
throughout the country. The role of the ICSH includes supporting the
development of our member housing associations as well as further
enhancing the capacity of the sector in the areas of housing
development, housing management and regulatory requirements.

Housing associations (approved housing bodies) play a key role in the
Irish housing sector and work in partnership with public and private
sector bodies to deliver and manage new homes at affordable rents with
security of tenure for those in housing need. The housing association
sector has a long history of responding to a range of social and
affordable housing needs for families, as well as addressing
specialist housing needs, including supporting homeless households.

In recent years, with increased Government support through _Rebuilding
Ireland_ as well as through ICSH members using their own resources,
the sector has delivered annually in the region of **Apply on the
website**% of new social housing. Housing associations are now
involved in responding to the wider affordable housing and specialist
housing need, and continue to play their part supporting and meeting
gaps in the housing system.

In order to continue supporting our members in a changing environment,
the ICSH have an exciting opportunity and are seeking a suitably
qualified and experienced person to join the dynamic ICSH Development
Team.

KEY AREAS OF THE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST ROLE INCLUDE:

* dealing and responding to development issues from members;
* addressing areas relating to housing management; and
* building the capacity of ICSH members.
