We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Senior
Speech & Language Therapist to join our adult services in Bray &
Arklow, Co. Wicklow. We are seeking a dynamic innovative, progressive,
and self-motivated person to work on their own initiative, as well as
part of a multi-disciplinary team. The purpose of the role is to
provide a Speech & Language Therapy service using a person-centered
approach to assess, plan, implement and evaluate clinical
interventions in line with Sunbeam House Services policies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own
caseload, both assessments and interventions, in line with evidence-
based practice whilst maintaining professional standards.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:

* Minimum 3 -5 years post qualification experience
* CORU registration (possess on closing date)
* Membership of IASLT
* A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy approved
by the Department of Health and Children. (Overseas qualifications
must be validated).
* Necessary qualification and post-training experience to work with
adults with complex medical needs, dysphagia, and a wide range of
feeding/eating/drinking/swallowing disorders (FEDS).
* Relevant clinical experience working with clients that have
intellectual disabilities and autism.
* Experience working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team
* Experience in the development and delivery of training to parents
and staff

* Experience in working with individuals working with alternative and
augmentative communication (AAC).

* Experience training families and staff in supporting individuals to
use AAC

* Experience assessing and directly supporting individuals with
pragmatic/ functional communication challenges
* Excellent IT and communication skills.
* Full driver?s license.

DESIRABLE:

* Experience in a Total Communication Approach
* Knowledge of the Social Role Valorisation model
* Experience in working as part of an autism diagnostic team
* Knowledge of:
* National Policy surrounding New Directions Framework
* Knowledge of the Disability Act **Apply on the website**.

SALARY SCALE:

Successful candidates will be paid as per the HSE consolidated pay
scales in line with required qualifications and relevant experience.
