HEAD OF FUNDRAISING
BACKGROUND:
The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) works with, and on behalf of,
people with physical disabilities to drive positive change in Ireland
through the influencing of public policy, the provision of quality
services and enabling accessibility to all aspects of society.
The IWA is now seeking an energetic, motivated Head of Fundraising
with a proven track record in fundraising, excellent interpersonal and
communication skills, and strong leadership abilities.
THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Head of Fundraising will be
responsible for developing a coherent, future focused fundraising
strategy, building, and developing a fundraising team from scratch,
and leading all fundraising efforts with a specific focus on
individual giving and corporate engagement. The successful candidate
must have previous experience in a charity fundraising environment
working to and meeting ambitious targets.
The Head of Fundraising will be responsible for designing and
implementing a sustainable, future focused, fundraising strategy to
increase revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters. Covid-**Apply

with direct and digital marketing now key priorities.
The successful candidate will recruit, lead and mentor a team of
fundraisers to achieve ambitious goals, while delivering excellent
stewardship experiences for IWA?s supporters. You will have previous
experience managing campaigns in order to grow the number and level of
donor engagement and you will take pleasure in analysing data in order
to make strategic plans. Experience in project management and in
managing budgets is essential.
Good line management and leadership skills are important for this role
along with well-judged influencing and communication skills which give
you the confidence to work collaboratively across different
departments and with a variety of stakeholders.
