Pieta?s vision is a world where suicide, self-harm and stigma have
been replaced by hope, self-care and acceptance. Pieta provide a range
of counselling services for people who are suicidal, engage in
self-harm or who are bereaved by suicide. Pieta House also operate a

As Project Officer you will provide essential support to the Programme
Office. You will be responsible for coordinating and providing support
on all project activities, including scheduling, reporting and
document control.

AS PROJECT OFFICER YOU WILL BE SPECIFICALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR:

* Support the Programme Office and improvement projects by providing
project support
* Work closely with the Project Manager and internal stakeholders to
define the project scope and the development of the Work Breakdown
Structure (WBS) to facilitate decision-making for project start-up
* Assists with the preparation of the Project Implementation Plan
(PIP) and other key documents to support the project
* Assists with the development of the overall budget for the project
as well as for project components and conducts budget reviews and
analyses in conjunction with the Project Accountant for discussion
with the Project Manager
* Assists with the implementation of records management,
communications, feedback, monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
Ensuring these are effectively established to facilitate project start
up and to support the project to completion under the direction of the
Project Manager
* Prepares regular reports to assist the Project Manager to track
the progress of project components to ensure schedules and deadlines
are being met
* Identify project issues and possible solutions, and bring them to
the attention of the Project Manager for action. Provide a central
repository for all project management documentation and ensure all
documentation is filed appropriately
* Maintain highlights and issues logs and ensure these are
communicated to the programme manager and other relevant personnel as
required
* Monitor project schedules flagging potential issues; approaching
deadlines; and reporting on any potential delays. Identify project
issues and possible solutions, and bring them to the attention of the
Project Manager for action
* Coordinating and managing project activities and schedule
* Organises meetings to review project progress and to discuss
future steps

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

* 2 years' experience in project planning and implementation
* Hold a recognised project management qualification
* Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple
stakeholders and project priorities
* Good organisational skills to help groups plan, organise, and
coordinate their work effectively
* Develops efficient work plans for complex projects involving many
groups, and effectively implements and coordinates these plans.
* Demonstrates a keen understanding of the relationships among
various components of large-scale programs that cut across groups,
organising them such that limited resources are used most effectively.
* Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently
* Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities under
pressure, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines
* Advanced IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office
