Expert Medical Information Manager

year at Novartis. As an Expert Medical Information Manager, you are
our business partner supporting planning and leading delivery of our
medical information services for your assigned therapeutic area. You
ensure quality, accuracy and integrity of our services to support
questions from Health Care Professionals and patients regarding
appropriate use our medicines.

Medical communications provides consultancy services to

the pharmaceutical industry to help raise awareness of

medicines via education and promotion. The Novartis

Medcomms service is an in-house (NBS) service that

advises the business on how best to educate and inform

their customers (doctors/medical professionals/Key

Opinion Leaders) about the benefits and risks of therapies,

supported by clinical and economic data.

Working in partnership MI Group or Team Lead and MI

Global Service Lead, this role is responsible for leading the delivery
of Medical Information (MI) PLS activities, as well as for acting as
the business partner for clients for all MI PLS deliverables.

*Your responsibilities:*

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

? Leading the delivery of MI services for defined disease area
groupings. This covers both planned and reactive services and includes
quality management and compliance with industry standards and codes of
practice

? Stakeholder client relationship and supporting planning of MI
activities for assigned franchises/therapy area (TA) or group of
aligned TAs (multiple clients)

? Identifying opportunities and taking the lead on new business
development within assigned franchises/TA or group of aligned TAs
(multiple clients)

? Revenue and forecasting of medical information activities for
assigned franchises/TA or group of aligned TAs (multiple clients) for
MI activities

? Accurate scoping and tiering to ensure budget accuracy for
assigned franchises/TA or group of aligned TAs (multiple clients)
across MI activities

? Delivery of highly complex MI services and responses to escalated
enquiries, with focus on launch brands

? Acting as the delivery lead for MI congress activities

? In partnership with the MI Group or Team Lead, ensuring quality,
accuracy and integrity of assigned projects

? Mentoring and coaching Senior Medical Information Managers and
Medical Information Managers

*Minimum requirements*

? Minimum: healthcare professional degree or degree in a
healthcare-related field

? Minimum 5 years&#**Apply on the website**; experience in a Medical
Information/Communications role specifically in the Pharmaceutical
Industry (or a related Medical Affairs role with significant MI
responsibility in the Pharmaceutical Industry)

? Experience with delivering MI services at Global and local level

? Product and disease area knowledge in Novartis therapeutic areas

? Strong knowledge of good practices in medical information writing,
and experience with mentoring others

? Strong client focus

? Strong cross-functional skills and proven experience in
collaboration with other departments/groups

*Desirable requirements:*

? Desirable: advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in life
science/healthcare
