PURPOSE OF POSTS

To develop and deliver bespoke clinical supports, which assure the
competence of healthcare professionals and support staff. To provide
support, direction and training with regard to the operational
requirements of organisations policy and procedures, across all
aspects of our service users clinical support needs. To develop,
deliver and/ or source training supports for community staff teams
ensuring safe and holistic healthcare assessment process and clinical
risk management strategies. To support the development and
implementations of clinical compliance standards across all services
including HIQA designated centres, home support, and adult services.

Camphill Communities of Ireland operates a residential and day service

activities, delivered by a workforce of approx. **Apply on the
website** persons comprised of employees and voluntary co-workers.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES

The Clinical Support Officer will:

* Provide advice and support to community staff teams in relation to
the health and clinical care needs of residents and service users in
assigned communities.
* As part of the Clinical team contribute to the development and
rollout of standardised clinical and healthcare policy, procedures and
practice across assigned communities.
* As part of the clinical and regional management teamwork in
partnership with Safeguarding, Operation and HR functions to ensure
the integration and implementation of standardises of excellence in
clinical and Health care policy and procedures.
* Support and contribute to the development of a program of clinical
audit which assures Residents/ Families / PICs and all stakeholders
with regard to the standard of health and clinical care practices
across the organisation.
* Support and advise on complex case management as required and
directed.
* Collaborate with the residents / their family and staff teams and
other the inter-disciplinary team members to facilitate the
development and review of personal plans / discharge plan, including
but not exclusive to, all heath and clinical care needs.
* Participate in meetings as requested
* Observe, report and take appropriate action on any matter which
may be detrimental to residents / client care or well-being or inhibit
the efficient operation of the community.
* Maintain appropriate and accurate written records and reports
regarding residents / client care in accordance with organisational
policy and procedures, and statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Participate and contribute to innovation and change in the
approach to residents/client care delivery, and contribute to service
planning process, based on best practice and under the direction of
clinical management.
* Ensure that all healthcare & clinical practices are carried out,
using evidence-based approach, to a high standard in a safe
environment maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of the
residents / client at all times.
* Promote a positive health concept with residents and colleagues
and contribute to the health promotion initiatives with the Health
Service Executive.
* Support and advise communities and staff teams with regard to
clinical risk assessments as required.
* As required assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised
residents / client care programmes within an agreed framework, in
accordance with best practice at all stages of the process.
* Undertake such training as is required to maintain and improve
personal & professional competencies required to meet the role
function

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Applicants must:

* Hold a degree / professional qualification relevant to this role -
? i.e. ID Nursing, Psychology, Behavioural Support Specialist
* A minimum of 2 years? experience in a disability service-related
management post
* Have a minimum of 5 years? experience working in the disability
sector
* A full driver?s licence and availability of own car is an
essential requirement
