EAST INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF

PROJECT WORKER.

THE POSITION

The Project Worker will work alongside the Co-ordinator providing
support to children and young people in school, after school, during
school holidays and out of school.

The position will be involve working in each of the four schools in
our cluster.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

* A third level qualification in social care, community work,
education or a related discipline.
* Ability to develop and deliver programmes to meet the needs of
children and young people.
* Practical experience of working with young people within a
supportive environment either in one to one or group settings.
* Experience of working with families and young people at risk.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Computer literacy essential.
* A good understanding of the Irish education system.
* An understanding of Educational Disadvantage.
* A non judgemental, creative and positive attitude.
* The ability to work within a flexible and child centered approach.
* The ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a
team.
* The ability to develop, facilitate and evaluate educational and
skills based programmes.

JOB DESCRIPTION

* To report and work under the direction of the Co-ordinator and in
line with the policies of the Local Management Committee (LMC).
* Provide direct support to the children and young people under
Palmerstown School Completion Programme as directed.
* To work as part of the SCP team in identifying student needs and
developing appropriate and timely interventions for the young people.
* Comply with Tusla guidelines in relation to report
writing/planning and record keeping.
* To participate in relevant training.
* To be student centered in all aspects of the work.
* To adhere to all relevant school policies and procedures.

CONTRACT

A fixed term contract, for **Apply on the website** hours per week

website** inclusive.

The salary will be in-line with the City of Dublin Youth Services
Board Youth Work Scale.

Candidates must have a clean current driving licence and use of a car.

Garda vetting is a requirement for the successful candidate.
