TU Dublin Foundation: Senior Development Manager
ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Senior Development
Manager is responsible for fundraising activities, focused on the

_Capital Campaign. He/she will be responsible for a portfolio of
donors and prospects, major gifts, gift planning, annual giving,
communications and donor relations at all stages from cultivation to
stewardship for top prospects and donors. Together with the Executive
Director, the Senior Leadership Manager will also engage with the TU
Dublin Foundation Board and engage with external campaign leadership,
including the President?s Campaign Cabinet. The Senior Development
Manager works directly with academic leadership of TU Dublin to secure
financial support for the strategic priorities of the University.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Strategic planning in conjunction with the Executive Director,
Senior Academic Leadership Team and the Board of Directors to develop
and implement priority projects as part of TUDublin?s ?**Apply on

* Identify, cultivate, and secure donations from individuals,
corporations and foundations in support of TU Dublin and campaign
priorities
* Meet annual fundraising targets, with a specific focus on reaching
the Phase II goal of securing ?**Apply on the website** million in
philanthropic support for TU Dublin by **Apply on the website**
* Engage with external campaign leadership, including members of the
President?s Campaign Cabinet and leadership donors supporting the
_TRANSFORMING TOMORROW _Campaign
* Develop and prepare marketing and communication materials,
proposals, and other materials
* Update social media platforms and the Foundation?s website
* Plan and host campus visits and virtual events for donors or
potential donors or their representatives
* Utilise CRM database (Raiser?s Edge) to coordinate with other
Foundation colleagues, record contact activities, update donor
information, record strategic moves management steps and gift
documentation as appropriate
* Build working relationships with internal constituents to enhance
information exchange across TU Dublin
* Oversee financial records management, budgetary planning and
monitoring and co-ordination of the Foundation?s annual audit
* Other duties as deemed appropriate by the Executive Director

QUALIFICATIONS

* Hold a third level qualification in a relevant discipline and/or
professional qualification and minimum of five years senior management
experience (ESSENTIAL)
* Experience of working in higher education is advantageous
* Experience in the private sector with proven engagement is welcome
* Experience in the broader charitable sector and/or business
development is welcome

KNOWLEDGE

* Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word,
Excel and PowerPoint with good keyboard skills
* General understanding of the structure of TU Dublin and Higher
Education in general
* Experience in the use of databases and/or Customer Relationship
Management (CRM)systems, such as Raiser?s Edge (DESIRABLE)

EXPERIENCE

* Demonstrate a minimum of five to ten years? experience and
success in fundraising and/or business development (ESSENTIAL)
* Evidence of strong customer service and of interacting with
diverse stakeholders, e.g. Academic staff, individual and corporate
donors, alumni, students, etc. (ESSENTIAL)
* Experience in maintaining accounts and financial records
(DESIRABLE)
* Proven experience in representing an organisation at a senior and
wider community level(DESIRABLE)
* Experience of working as a member of a team, providing leadership,
support, and assistance where needed (DESIRABLE)

* Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with
ability to engage at senior management, board level and senior level
stakeholders
* High levels of attention to detail and accuracy, including data
entry, and ability to meet deadlines
* Proven ability to create realistic plans and track record in

workload and prioritizing own work
* Strong organizational, planning and multi-tasking skills and

TENURE
This is a full-time, permanent position, subject to satisfactory
service during the probationary period.
LOCATION
This post is currently located in TU Dublin ? City Campus,
Grangegorman, Dublin 7. Most TU Dublin City Campus Programmes will
transfer to Grangegorman in the coming years.

Salary
The successful candidate will be appointed at point (**Apply on the
website**) of the Assistant Principal Officer Salary Scale i.e.

Remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government
pay policy. Incremental credit may apply in line with University
Policy.
HOURS OF WORK
A **Apply on the website** hour working week is in operation. This can
be reviewed by collective agreement, with the Minister for Education &
Skills. Having regard to the nature of the work, attendance outside
these hours may be required from time to time.
PROBATION
A probationary period of twelve months will apply to this post.
ANNUAL LEAVE
Annual Leave and Public Holidays shall be granted as per the Holidays

Time Act **Apply on the website**. The annual leave entitlement for
this post is **Apply on the website** days per annum this is inclusive
of the University closure days.
RETIREMENT
TU Dublin Foundation is a private charity. The post holder is not
eligible for the Education Sector Superannuation Scheme. The TU Dublin
Foundation offers a defined contribution pension plan, and will
contribute 7% of the successful applicant?s salary into the TU
Dublin Foundation Executive Pension Plan, which is managed by Zurich.
This is applicable following completion of the probationary period.
SICK LEAVE
This appointment is subject to the University?s Sick Leave Policy
for Officers of the University.
