Position: Financial Controller (POSITION CLOSED)

Location: Connacht

OUR CLIENT IS A WELL ESTABLISHED AND HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS IN THE
HOSPITALITY SECTOR. THEY ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FINANCE CONTROLLER
TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGEMENT OF THE FINANCE FUNCTION WITHIN THE
BUSINESS AND WORK CLOSELY WITH THE GROUP FINANCIAL CONTROLLER AND
GENERAL MANAGER IN DRIVING THE BUSINESS FORWARD. THIS JOB WOULD SUIT
AN AMBITIOUS AND TALENTED FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT, WITH RELEVANT INDUSTRY
EXPERIENCE, WHO IS LOOKING FOR THAT NEXT CAREER OPPORTUNITY.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Preparation of the yearly budget and monthly update of the
forecasts
* Monthly reporting for the Head office (Profit and Loss account and
comparison with budget and forecasts
* Preparation of the financial statement required by law
* In charge for all legal and insurance matters in the company
(contract with the suppliers, lessee, etc)
* Cash Flow management
* Enforces, documents and establishes adequate controls for all
revenues and expenses and protection of assets, and ensures controls
will satisfy or improve the level of guest service
* Maintains accurate and timely financial and operating information
and provides analyzes, interpretations and projections to management
as required
* Provides proactive administrative support to management with
reference to policy enforcement, business advice and operational
assistance
* Implements and maintains acceptable accounting practices and
procedures as required by corporate policies and procedures, generally
accepted accounting practices, and those affected by local conditions
* Analyse and assists Human Resources Manager in regards to
employment contracts of new employees
* Screens, interviews and selects potential staff members to the
Department
* Develops and recommends appropriate training to meet departmental
needs
* Encourages, develops and manages effective employee relations
throughout the hotel

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
* Financial background, ACCA or CIMA qualified or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience as an Accountant in
the Hotel sector
* Advanced language skills in English, written and spoken
* Business orientation with excellent knowledge of Microsoft
environment
* Highly motivated, enthusiastic and loyal individual with
leadership qualities and analytical
