Rethink Ireland (previously Social Innovation Fund Ireland) provides
cash grants and business support to charities and social enterprises
working in Irish communities across the country. These are the
organisations not just thinking differently, but who are putting their
ideas into practice and building a more inclusive Ireland. We work
with companies, families, individuals and foundations who understand
new thinking in Ireland is needed. Every euro they donate to Rethink
Ireland is matched by the Irish Government from the Dormant Accounts
Fund.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Working in a high growth and fast-paced environment, the purpose of
this job is to manage the onboarding process of new funds and projects
to Rethink Ireland. The Fund Manager will lead on managing the open
call for application and oversee the selection process. Working
closely with all teams - Business Development, Marketing, Portfolio
Management and Finance - this person will be a critical relationship
manager with Rethink Ireland applicants, donors and Rethink Ireland
teams. This is an exciting and crucial role sitting at the heart of
Rethink Ireland.

Reporting to the Head of Business Intelligence and Operations, the
successful candidate will work as a peer to Fund Managers.

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS

* You will support the scoping phase and development of new projects/
funds
* You will coordinate the onboarding process of donors and new
projects/ funds
* You will manage the open call and launch of new standard funds/
projects, leading the entire selection process in consultation with
other Fund Managers
* You will coordinate the selection process of strategic funds/
projects in consultation with other Fund Managers
* You will lead a project team to deliver on action plans, budgets
and ensure timelines are met
* You will manage relationships with different stakeholders during
these processes (applicants, reviewers, relevant experts and donors)
* You will set (in conjunction with your line manager), and meet
programme targets
* You will line manage other team members if needed
* You will deliver your tasks on budget
* Participate in training as requested
* Attend meetings and events as requested
* Support the work of the Business Intelligence & Operations Team as
a whole
* Support the marketing, communications and fundraising activities
of Rethink Ireland
* Contribute your ideas on the future development of Rethink Ireland
to the team
* Mentor and support graduates and interns
* Office administration
* Other duties as assigned
* Like all staff, you will act as an ambassador for Rethink Ireland
at all times

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You are calm, flexible and creative, working well under pressure to
find solutions to challenges. You are someone who has the ability to
work as an integral part of a small team in a highly fluid
environment. Your input will help shape how social investment can work
for charities and social enterprises across Ireland. You will have
significant scope to build and shape this fund from an early stage and
will be working at the cutting edge of the innovative field of social
investment, in partnership with our fund stakeholders and the full
support of the wider team at Rethink Ireland. You have experience of
making investments on a scale and context relevant to this role, of
making investments with social and/or environmental objectives and of
advising and supporting SME and/or social enterprises as they develop
their business models.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* 5 to 7 years? relevant experience (minimum 2 years? internal
experience)
* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* You have the ability to build and maintain relationships
* You are committed to excellence and have strong attention to
detail
* You are able to work independently and get things done in a
changing environment
* You are a team player and self-motivated problem solver
* You are able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
* You have knowledge of Google Suite (Google docs, Google Sheets,
Gmail)
* You demonstrate the highest levels of integrity
* You are passionate about making Ireland a better place and are
committed to Rethink Ireland?s mission and values.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

* Understanding of the environment for social enterprises, social
innovations, entrepreneurship or the non-profit sector (Especially in
the areas of Climate Justice, Equality, Education and Health).
* Experience in action research and writing project proposals (EU,
government).
* You have knowledge of Google Suite and of other cloud-based
systems
