DAY CARE MANAGER AND CARE WORKER
LAOIS DAY CARE AT HOME SERVICE

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland works across the country in the heart
of local communities providing dementia specific services and
advocating for the rights of people affected by dementia to quality
supports and services.

A national non-profit organisation, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland
is person centred, rights-based and grassroots led with the voice of
the person with dementia and their carer at its core.

We are currently recruiting for a Day Care Manager and a Care Worker
for our new service in Co Laois.

DAY CARE MANAGER (DAY CARE AT HOME)

The Day Care Manager will lead the Day Care at Home service in Co
Laois

This role will initially be based remotely but upon the reopening of
our Day Care Centre services the successful candidate will be based in
Laois Day Care Centre, Ungarran, Kiln Lane, Mountrath, Co. Laois.

This is a permanent contract working **Apply on the website** hours

You will be required to have experience in Human Resource Management,
Financial management, Quality standards and risk management. You will
need good communication skills, be open and enthusiastic, have a
positive attitude, lead by example, make staff feel valued, and be
able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

CARE WORKER

The successful candidate will work in assigned family homes with
offices based in Laois Day Care Centre, Ungarran, Kiln Lane,
Mountrath, Co. Laois

This is a permanent contract working **Apply on the website** hours
per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person
centred care to people with dementia in the client?s own home. You
will need good communication and organisational skills and be able to
work on your own initiative. To be successful in this position it is
essential you possess previous experience of undertaking social and
cognitive stimulation activates with people with dementia, older
people or people with intellectual disabilities.

A FETAC level 5 qualification is desirable but not essential.
Confidence in using IT/Email is also desirable.

Salary will be commensurate with the care sector, and dependent on
relevant experience.
