JOB TITLE: HEAD OF ADULT SERVICES

Location: CIDP
Contract duration: Permanent
Reports to: CEO

PURPOSE

CIDP is seeking a Head of Adult Services to provide strategic
management and leadership across a range of community-based services.
The post holder will lead and oversee all adult services within CIDP
including the transition from a residential service to a full
community service model ensuring best practice and compliance and
ensure the appropriate structures are in place with regard to HIQA
standards.

The successful candidate will be a strategic leader and an experienced
manager with a strong knowledge of community adult services. In
particular they should demonstrate a strong knowledge of governance
and have experience in the areas of service delivery and budgeting.
They should have excellent communication skills and preferably be
fluent in Irish Sign Language (ISL) or demonstrate a willingness to
learn. The person should be good at building and maintaining positive
relationships and capable of delivering change. The successful
candidate will be a highly energetic individual, with the ambition to
deliver on a demanding change project.

BELOW ARE THE MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY;

STRATEGIC

* Overall strategic responsibility for Adult services
* Lead the delivery of, and have overall accountability for, high
quality, effective and safe services for Deaf and Deaf Blind adults

FINANCIAL

* Oversee the financial management of the Adult services, including
managing and setting annual budgets
* Ensure strict compliance with CIDP policies in respect of
financial governance

OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE AND DELIVERY

* Lead and promote the Social Role Valourisation (SRV) model of
support for all service users, in line with the agreed vision
* Set up Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets for the service,
ensuring compliance, and monitor and report on KPIs
* Manage high quality service delivery, measured against relevant
KPIs
* Oversee the roll out of a cloud system for all data

SAFEGUARDING AND COMPLIANCE

* Be responsible for the management and effective delivery of
safeguarding policies and procedures across the community based
service, raising and pursuing concerns where necessary or supporting
teams to do so
* Manage all quality management systems within the service including
compliance with HIQA standards and organisational complaints
management standards and procedures

STAFF MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

* Oversee the operations of the service, the Director of Care/Person
in Charge (PIC) and the management
* Oversee the clinical team ensuring clinical delivery meets the
ethos and values for the service model in a person centered way to
each service user
* Keep abreast of current and recent trends and developments.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

* Liaise with external organisations, in particular the HSE and HIQA
as appropriate, in order to promote and maintain good working
relationships and high standards of care and support for service users
* Be responsible for business development to develop and extend the
community services model
