Archways is a non for profit organisation researching and delivering
evidenced based programmes for children and famillies in Ireland. One
of the initiatives supported by Archways is the Area Based Childhood
progrmame Blue Skies Initiative, one of **Apply on the website**
national Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Programmes funded by
Department of Children, Disability, Equality and Integration (DCDEI),
delivered through the Prevention Partnership and Family Support
Programme (PPFS) within Tusla. One of the programmes delivered by Blue
Skies Initiative is the ParentChild+ Programme. ParentChild+ is an
evidence based, 'learning through play experience' for?parents?and
their preschool?children. It is designed to strengthen the natural
bond between?parent?and?child?and to encourage a love of learning.
It employs a non-directive approach and encourages the?parent?as
the?child's?first and best teacher.

POSITION: ParentChild+ Coordinator

REPORTING TO: Blue Skies Initiative Manager

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To coordinate ParentChild+ in Clondalkin,
Adamstown and parts of Lucan

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

* Blue Skies Initiative Manager
* National ParentChild+ Senior Specialist.
* ParentChild+ Mentor
* Archways CEO

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To work with the Blue Skies Initiative Manager to recruit, hire and
train Home Visiting staff.
* To plan and coordinate ongoing Home Visitor training.
* To supervise and support Home Visiting staff.
* To manage ParentChild+ budget and liaise with Blue Skies
Initiative Manager.
* Recruit, interview and select families to participate in the
programme.
* Visit and interview programme families and to introduce families
and Home Visitors to each other.
* To home visit families on the programme.
* Organise, delegate tasks and oversee events for the programme
families.
* Prepare and maintain records, reports and/or test data on the
programme and participating children.
* Participate in research activities.
* To work with the ParentChild+ Senior Specialist to implement
ParentChild+ quality assurance processes and maintain fidelity to the
programme.
* Any other duties as assigned by the Manager of Blue Skies
Initiative/Archways.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* Four years? experience of working with young children and
families in a relevant community setting is required or experience of
working as a Home Visitor for ParentChild+ or other home visiting
programmes.
* QQI level 7 in Early Years? Education and Care or relevant
qualification.
* Ability to train, supervise and support Home Visitors.
* Ability to work closely with marginalised families and have an
understanding of the issues of marginalisation.
* Ability to operate as a team player in a cross disciplinary,
integrated team, sharing roles and responsibilities.
* An energetic, confident and pro-active individual with strong
interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent leadership, administrative and organisational skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Full clean driver?s licence and use of own car.

Shortlisting for interviews will take place on the 8th of June, with
