REGIONAL PROGRAMMES MANAGER

Age Action is Ireland?s leading advocacy organisation for older
people and all people as they age. It works to ensure that older
people?s voices are heard at the highest level of Government and
that the lived experience of older people informs policy responses to
their needs. Age Action also provides services that address the
specific needs of older people in our community.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person to join our
Programmes Management team.

The right person will be energetic and innovative in the development,
implementation and expansion of Age Action?s programmes in the
eastern region. They will be driven by a strong sense of social
justice, and a desire to support equality of outcomes for all older
people.

Reporting to: Head of Programmes

Regional Programmes Manager, KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Lead the operational management of all Programmes in the eastern
region;
* Line manage, and support the professional development, of all
members of staff on the eastern region team;
* Develop and update operational plans with clear goals, milestones
and responsibilities;
* Develop and establish new project areas and best practices as
required;
* Identify potential funding opportunities for programmes and assist
with funding applications for the eastern region;
* Conduct regular supervision and team meetings;
* Develop, protect, and nurture strong internal and external
relationships;
* Keep informed of relevant national and international policy
affecting older people;
* Be responsible for the Health and Safety of the Programmes based
in the eastern region, including the H&S statement, risk assessment
policy, H&S audits and Lone Working Policy;
* Work closely with the Programme Management team to ensure shared
objectives are met;
* Ensure data is accurately maintained and updated on the CRM
system;
* Provide regular and accurate quantitative and qualitative reports;
* Represent all departments of Age Action at external events. This
includes but is not limited to advocacy, membership and fundraising
initiatives;
* Attend meetings and training as required;
* Engage in any other reasonable duties requested by Age Action.

ESSENTIAL

* Project management experience with a proven record of delivering on
targets;
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written;
* Highly motivated self-starter with initiative and drive;
* Strong commitment to Age Action?s vision, mission, and values;
* Good working knowledge of MS Office and database software;
* Well organised, analytical, methodical with a high degree of
accuracy and ability to prioritize;
* Ability to work well and remain calm under pressure and adhere to
tight deadlines.

DESIRABLE

* Experience of management with a proven record of success in meeting
goals;
* Experience of driving and supporting organisational change;
* Understanding of community development principles & approach;
* Empathy and understanding of ageing and the needs of people as
they age;
* A commitment to human rights and equality;
* Flexible approach to work and duties, working as a team player and
be adaptable to changing circumstances;
* Capacity for self-reflective practice and willingness to engage in
further training and development.
* Full driving licence.

* Eligibility to work in Ireland.

LOCATION: Dublin/Remote

CONTRACT: Permanent, Full Time
