HR MANAGER

YOU ARE:

You are an experienced HR Manager with strong experience in all
aspects of HR strategy and delivery from employee engagement and
recruitment to dealing with more complex IR issues. You are an
ambitious self-starter who is motivated to take the lead in a busy HR
Department with ever-changing priorities and able to maintain focus on
the most important tasks. You demonstrate a strong track record of HR
deliverables in recent years.

WE ARE:

St. Catherine?s Association is a non-profit organisation and
registered charity funded by the HSE that provides care to individuals
with intellectual and other disabilities. We aim to provide a holistic
service from birth to adulthood including Early Services, Residential
and Respite care, Adult Day Services and a wide range of Clinical
Services. The successful candidate will work as a member of the
multidisciplinary team and enjoy a high level of professional support.

JOB ROLE:

* Effectively lead and manage the HR function, providing advice,
expertise, and guidance to members of management on all HR issues.
* Oversee the recruitment, selection and succession planning
processes.
* Develop, update & maintain HR policies and procedures.
* Direct industrial and employee relations and represent the
organisation in third party arenas as appropriate.
* Conduct Disciplinary and Grievance hearings.
* Facilitate education and career development for staff.
* Analyse budget variables relating to staff allocation.
* Oversee all aspects of HR administration and ensure HR records are
kept up-to-date.
* Respond to HR queries and requests.
* Ensure the effective implementation of performance management.
* Implement employee engagement initiatives to support retention.
* Develop and nurture a positive workplace wellness culture and
promote healthy work environments across the organisation.

ESSENTIAL:

* Masters level HR qualification/CIPD qualification or foreign
equivalent
* 5 years experience in a similar role
* 1 year experience in the Voluntary/Social Care Intellectual
Disability/Public sector.
* Exposure to all elements of HR practice: workforce
planning/recruitment, performance management, talent management,
succession planning, culture management, employee engagement &
retention, HR data management, redeployment & redundancy programs
* Strong working knowledge of HR & IT systems. Experience working
with an electronic Time Management & rostering system an advantage.
* Experience in a workplace with staff members in multiple unions
and negotiating with unions.
* Experience in conflict resolution.
* Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
* Excellent report writing and communication skills and a strong
technical ability to present work and achievements using a variety of
platforms in a concise manner.

DESIRABLE:

* Experience in a heavily regulated industry specifically compliance
or Health & Safety.
* Commercial negotiating skills.

SALARY:

Grade 8 as per the HSE Consolidated Pay Scale.
