Injection Moulding Engineer
Job Description



Establish and maintain injection moulding processes 

Follow through on projects  eg Validations, R&D 

Training in problem solving techniques and their practicalapplication 

Realize and implement continuous improvement. 

Validate new equipment 

Thorough knowledge of product quality criteria including end use and shelf'life 

Understand and analyze costs associated with injection moulding. e g Run timef 

Downtime, Scrap, Material, Tooling, Customer Funding, Capital Expenditure Requests 

Understand product status and movement of' same 

Capable in analyzing data, interpreting results and report findings 

Plan and manage production activities

Ability and willingness to train personnel

Maintain quality systems, procedures, documentation and traceability as expected by customers and regulaton bodies 

Effect good Comunication, both verbally and written (in house and externally) 

Practical approach to injection moulding 

Understand and implement good project management practices 

Liase proficiently with personnel at all levels Within the company and externally e g customers, vendors 

Be prepared to chair', minute and report feedback from meetings 

Perform any other' associated duties, tasks as assigned 

Promote professional etiquette for the company at all times


 
Requirements:


3+ years relevant industry experience – ideally within medical device product / process development. 

A demonstrated ability to work independently and in team-oriented environments, of change, risk mitigation, and flexibility will be needed. 

Proven ability of handling multiple projects/tasks at the same time as well as the ability to listen to customers' needs and develop solutions to meet their requirements.

Hands-on background with experience in machine development tool set up polymer process characterization, Process Excellence / six Sigma / DOE experience would be highly advantageous.
