QC Microbiology - Team Lead - Waterford

Job Description



Planning and coordinating the activities of the QC Micro Laboratory.  

Maintaining Quality standards to assure that all products are made safely, consistent and to specification

 

Duties:

·Coordinate and maintain all QC activities.

·Responsible QC Micro for a team of 10 – 15 analysts to ensure relevant

 KPIs are consistently met and team members achieve their potential and

 meet their goals

·Develop, implement and maintain testing schedules and manpower

 requirements for assigned area.

·Provide microbiological / sterility assurance expertise and support for

 product investigations, NPI, improvements, etc. to ensure continued

 compliance with regulations

·Ensure all QC Micro lab operations meet current cGLP and Corporate

 compliance requirements aligned with “Lean lab” philosophy

·Ensure projects are managed in compliance with all Genzyme

 requirements

·Monitor work operations on a daily basis, and provide technical direction

 and leadership to QC team members

·Effective and constructive interaction with other members of the value

 streams to ensure successful delivery schedules.

·Accountable for project completion and achievement of compliance 

·Develops and author documentation for new and current procedures.

·Ensure the effective use of material, equipment and personnel at minimum

 cost.  

 

Requirements:



3rd level degree essential in Science or related area (Microbiology / Biochemistry preferred)

5+ years experience working in a Healthcare QC Micro / QA / Manufacturing environment - ideally most of which would be in the pharmaceutical sector.

Experience of managing / coordinating teams in a Quality GMP environment a distinct advantage
