Our client is currently seeking to hire a Business Controller (m/f) in Maastricht!
Place within the organization:
The Financial & Controlling (F&C) department reports directly to the F&C organization of the headquarter. The department deals with both, the classic accounting and controlling activities as well as with specialized contact centers- and provider controlling and holds the responsibility for purchase, legal & compliance. A multinational team of professionals acts as a business partner towards headquarter and internally to the responsible managers and relevant departments in a supporting and communication role. Major task is ensuring proper financial / business administration next to transparency to increase our high-class performance.
Main goal:
The Business Controller (m/f) reports directly to the Coordinator of Controlling and Purchase. You are capable to calculate, interpret and analyse the figures and are conscious of the trends and consequences. In this role, you are responsible for high quality business case calculations, Operative Planning and Targeting/Forecasting and all other activities and projects, which are running in the Controlling & Purchase team. Towards the budget holders, you have a supporting and advising role.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
• Business and financial consultant/sparring partner for managers and budget holders
• Provide effective financial analysis and presentations
• Support in Projects with Project/business case calculations and Actuals vs. Target analysis
• Support in Purchase / tenders and with business case calculations
• Provide calculations for new services and/or customers and prepare set-up Service Level Agreements with business partners
• Support in day-to-day Controlling tasks such as annual budgeting and forecasting for the business processes and the preparation of power point presentations
• Improve cost efficiency and cost control of the company
• Responsible for the calculation, consolidation and delivery of high qualitative output towards all relevant stakeholders
• Create continuous improvement in processes, structures and the daily working tasks by following lean management
• Support the Controlling team to achieve the department targets
• Backup for the Controlling colleagues during holidays or illness
Job requirements:
• Academic degree in Finance and/or Economics
• A Minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar role
• Project experience
• Being able to quickly adapt to a dynamic working environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Team player – being an active part of a continuous developing Controlling team
• Stress resistant and handle deadlines
• Service-minded and “hands-on” attitude
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
