Junior Health & Safety Coord.
We are currently seeking an experienced, driven, & motivated professional to join the PM Group Health & Safety Team.

In this position, you will be part of a high-performing construction project management support team dedicated to providing & maintaining high quality health & safety support services to its client base

Your responsibilities within this challenging role will include, but will not be limited to:

Delivering a Project-specific Health and Safety Induction training
Reviewing task planning processes incl. Method Statements, Permit to Work, Risk Assessments, etc
Conducting site-based EHS audits and inspections to ensure regulatory compliance
Coordinating and chairing weekly Project EHS meeting with contractors
Providing guidance to contractors on the content of weekly toolbox talks
Liaising closely with the Client and Contractor Management Team on H&S matters
Ensuring the effective coordination and cooperation among contractor teams on H&S matters
Leading the development and implementation of the project site construction health & safety programme
Providing H&S guidance to the construction management team, identifying H&S training needs, developing and delivering training workshops
Coaching and influencing contractor work practices and standards through dialogue, relationship building, & behavioural safety coaching
Coordinating the development & implementation of health & safety improvement initiatives
Monitoring and reporting on H&S performance and resolving concerns
Communicating industry best practices to the project organisation
Supporting the investigation of incidents, ensuring corrective actions are defined & implemented
Maintaining project H&S programme arrangements in accordance with the requirements of the company OHSAS18001 occupational safety management system
To be considered for this opportunity you will ideally possess the following experience/qualifications:

Degree / Diploma in Health & Safety
Graduate IOSH membership or equivalent
12 months minimum post graduate experience required, largely gained by site based work within the housing construction and ideally infrastructure/civil engineering and demolition industries
Consistent professionalism with ability to represent the company on a broad range of subjects: flexibility, tolerance of ambiguity and change in a demanding environment
