Acoustic Engineer
A combination of structural engineering and the latest in
construction technology puts this company ahead of the curve in terms
of opportunity and career development. Seeking to expand their
existing team, they are looking for strong Acoustic Engineer expert
seeking to grow and develop in this fast moving environment.

The company has operations in Cork, Ireland and they have a consistent
stream of work ahead of them. They work predominantly with the
manufacturing and pharmaceutical companies who enjoy their efficiency
of work and their expert knowledge in the Acoustic Engineering.

The Role

Further to continuing success and growth, the team is now ready to
expand operations in Ireland with the addition of an Acoustics
Engineer who can bring a wealth of experience, drive and strategic
leadership to develop this specialist discipline in the region. This
person will play a leading role in ensuring the successful delivery of
innovative and pragmatic acoustic design solutions on some of the most
prestigious and technically challenging built environment design
projects.

Working across a variety of sectors, in time you lead a team of expert
acoustic engineers, and work closely with colleagues of various
disciplines to oversee the delivery of technically-excellent,
profitable projects.

You will develop new and nurture existing outstanding client
relationships that maximize satisfaction and ensure repeat business,
and will use your wealth of expertise and determination to manage,
motivate and inspire less experienced engineers.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

* Minimum of three years of experience in construction-related
acoustic engineering.

* A good understanding of building structures.

* Good knowledge and understanding of Technical Guidance Document E,
Approved Document E and relevant Standards and Codes of Practice.

* Degree or equivalent in Acoustics.

* A familiarity with Modern Methods of Construction (MMC)/Offsite
Construction technologies would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

* Analysing and interpreting the behavior of sound waves in different
environments.

* Providing guidance for compliance of 2D panellised and 3D
modular/volumetric offsite construction systems with sound
regulations.

* Supporting Structural design teams.

* Supporting Product Development teams.

* Consult with construction engineers and architects regarding
compliance with Building Regulations requirements.

* Liaising with other team members - engineers, architects,
management, administration - as necessary.

* Carrying out and project managing sound tests and compiling reports
on results.
