School for children and young people. The company operates a
production company, producing professional English theatre for
children and families in Switzerland, and a drama academy, providing
quality drama and performing arts training for ages four years right
through to adult. Due to continued growth and organisation change, we
have openings new teachers of acting, singing and dance in both Geneva
and Zurich.
We are currently looking to recruit the best recent graduates to be
energetic, passionate and talented teachers. The positions are
available . These are truly amazing opportunities for the right
candidates to work in two truly beautiful locations within a highly
sought after and highly acclaimed theatre Academy. Available
Opportunities (both Full and Part time)
? Acting Teacher
? Singing Teacher
? Dance Teacher Job Specification The Academy Teacher will:
? Take responsibility for the teaching of their allocated classes
each week (about **Apply on the website** hours per week for a **Apply
on the website** week year).
? Teach other workshops as required including school and summer
workshops.
? Coach Group and Private sessions for LAMDA Examinations, as well
as students preparing for college auditions.
? Make notes on lesson plans, including individual student comments
and file these weekly.
? Hold parent/student/teacher meetings once per year.
? Manage and deliver Open classes at the end of Term 1 (December).
? Produce and Direct Showcase performances for all classes at the
end of the year (June).
? Take on roles within production teams for Academy productions
where necessary.
? Play an increasing role in the managing of a variety of company
affairs, such as event management, administration, LAMDA exams,
Customer Service, sales & marketing. Person Specification Candidates
will already have and be able to demonstrate/ provide evidence of:
? Teaching experience, providing coaching within schools or
performing arts schools.
? Experience in direction and production of youth performances for
varying ages, or recent employment in theatre productions. Candidates
should:
? Be outstanding in their field and strive for excellence.
? Be able to provide strong references about the quality of their
teaching and/or directing.
? Be youthful and enthusiastic in nature, passionate about children,
teaching, and the theatre.
