FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR

Our client, a Registered Charity in the South Dublin area, is looking
to recruit an experienced and motivated Financial Administrator to
join their team on a part-time basis, working **Apply on the website**
hours per week.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who ambitious, driven and
a self-starter, with excellent communication and organisational
skills.

The successful candidate will?play a lead role in ensuring that
all?financial administration functions are carried out to an
exceptional standard and developing the Finance Function within the
Organisation, which includes two (2) Charities.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To work with the Organisation and other Finance Staff to monitor and
record the financial activities for two (2) Charities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION:

* Ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded and payments
are made in a timely manner:

* Preparation and processing of supplier invoices and following up on
outstanding invoices
* Processing payroll
* Credit Control
* Filing of PAYE/VAT and other revenue related returns in line with
the relevant jurisdiction obligations
* Processing of General Ledger journals

* BANKING:

* Incorporating all banking requirements including online banking,
transfer payments, lodgements, etc. and all bank reconciliations
including month-end reconciliations

* MAINTAINING THE ACCOUNTING RECORDS FOR BOTH ENTITIES:

* Responsible for using the accounts package i.e. currently Sage

* Filing of online accounts, as and when required

* CASH FLOW MANAGEMENT:

* Monitoring of bank accounts to assist in the overall cash
management

* INTERNAL REPORTING:

* Ensuring the regular management accounts are produced in a timely
manner including the investigation of variances, etc.

* EXTERNAL REPORTING:

* Working with the appointed auditor to produce the audited financial
statements
* Charity Reporting as and when required

* BUDGETING:

* Assist in the preparation of the annual budgets including both the
detailed (one-year) and summary (three-year) budgets

* OTHER:

* Assisting with other financial related work such as:

* Insurance
* Conferences etc.

* General day to day administrative tasks (maintain filing systems,
monitor and maintain office supplies inventory, answering the phone,
etc.)
* Ad-hoc duties as required
* Dealing with queries and providing front line support via
phone/email
* Liaising with clients, staff and suppliers

REQUIREMENTS:

* At least three years relevant experience and qualifications in
Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
* Strong numeric, reconciliation and analytical skills, precise with
excellent attention to detail
* Experience of accounting software, computer literate, particularly
with spreadsheets, calculations and iCloud software
* Proven record of ability to meet deadlines
* Flexible with the ability to change focus of work
* Ability to work on own initiative and to manage workload
* Ability to communicate with clients from a non-finance background

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

* Knowledge of Charitable Reporting
* Appreciation of, and commitment to, maintaining the traditions and
values of the Organisation
* Willingness to learn about the Charities activities
* Initiative, energy and persistence; positive attitude towards
learning and change
