The Good Shepherd Centre CLG has provided homeless services in

The Good Shepherd Centre offers a range of homeless and housing
solutions. The organisation is divided into two divisions, homeless
and housing. A core management position has become vacant as the
centres Service Manager for Homeless Services.?The centre offers
emergency accommodation and support services to men, women and
families.
The services are underpinned by Slaintecare and Rebuilding Ireland
polices. A core priority area is the full implementation of the
National Quality Standards for Homeless Services.

Other skills such as change management, performance management and
communication will be important to demonstrate.
Homelessness is caused by many structural issues exacerbated by often
complex personal needs. People who experience homelessness frequently
acknowledge that the experience of being out of home is a vicarious
trauma.
The causes of an individual?s homelessness can centre around complex
needs or be as a result of shortages in housing supply, service users
often feel removed of choices and control of their lives. As service
manager you will support people, your team, your service user gain
control be it initially as a harm reduction strategy to stabilise and
take control through a prism of hope and trauma informed care. Can you
do this? We need your help then.
Managing complex issues often require an ability to broker service
responses to assist people transition out of homelessness.?Therefore,
if you can demonstrate a balance between compassion and effectiveness
you should consider the role as an opportunity.?You will join a
dedicated team to find appropriate health and housing solutions. It
